We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Moving Truck Driver to join our team in Burnaby. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely driving moving trucks, assisting with residential and commercial moves, and providing excellent customer service throughout the moving process.
Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 5 commercial trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Reliable, punctual, and qualified
Load, unload, wrap, pack, and transport household and commercial items
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition and report any issues promptly
Assist with moving goods within warehouses or loading docks as needed, utilizing heavy lifting techniques when required
Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups
Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging professionally with clients during drop-offs and pickups
Requirements
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
Previous professional driving or moving experience is an asset
Ability to safely lift and carry heavy items
Strong communication skills to interact clearly with team members and customers
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a warehouse or loading workplace
Ability to work independently, demonstrate reliability, and maintain a positive attitude throughout the workday
