We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Mechanic Heavy Duty to join our maintenance team.
Duties
Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on heavy equipment (trucks and trailers).
Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including engine overhauls, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and hydraulic system servicing.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery components accurately.
Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with a valid Journeyman certification or equivalent qualification.
Extensive dealership experience preferred.
Proficiency in using hand tools,
power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex issues.
Experience working with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical systems.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or maintenance tasks.
Red Seal an asset
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients about repair needs or technical issues.
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
