Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Snow Plow Operators to join our dedicated winter maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and accessible roads, parking lots, and pathways during snow and ice conditions. Your expertise will help maintain smooth operations and safety for employees, visitors, and the community. Duties
Operate trucks, loaders, tractors, skid steers and related equipment efficiently to clear snow and ice from roads, driveways, parking lots, and walkways
Perform routine inspections of plow equipment, including hydraulic systems, blades, and mechanical components, to ensure optimal functioning
Apply salt or other de-icing materials to prevent ice buildup and improve traction on surfaces
Monitor weather conditions continuously to anticipate snow accumulation and adjust operations accordingly
Conduct basic maintenance on plow vehicles and tools, including lubrication, minor repairs, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
Coordinate with team members to prioritize routes and ensure timely snow removal across designated areas
Document completed work shifts,

Skills
Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as snow plows or similar construction equipment
Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues on plow trucks and tools
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic repair techniques relevant to vehicle upkeep
Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including irrigation systems, gardening, horticulture, and general landscape upkeep (nice-to-have)
Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols
Strong attention to detail with excellent observational skills for equipment inspection and surface assessment
Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly
