Under the direction of the Director of Lands & Natural Resources, the Forest Resource Technicians will be trained in Forest Carbon Plot Inventory and other forest related technician duties. Responsibilities within this position are adaptable and may be adjusted according to experience and community needs and priorities.RESPONSIBILITIESPartake in training on Forest Carbon Plot Inventory; requires learningtree identification, tree diameter measuring, aging and height estimations; Learn how to use aGlobal Positioning System (GPS) and compass; Data collection ofvarious natural resource values within Wiikwemkoong and Point Grondine; Carry out field data surveys using a Global Positioning System and Data Tablet,
as required; Assists other DLNRprograms as requested; REQUIREMENTSMust meet Wii ni n’guch-tood L.M.S.
