Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our agile culinary team at Bizarre Gastro Pub. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service, delivering high-quality dishes in a rapid-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent kitchen skills, and a commitment to food safety standards.
Duties
Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and standards
Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to all food handling regulations
Assist with plating and garnishing of dishes for service
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
Support the team during busy service periods by managing multiple tasks effectively
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Experience
Prior experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred. training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices is highly desirable
Experience with meal preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations within the food industry will be advantageous
Familiarity with serving standards and customer service principles is a plus
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
