Responsibilities
Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude, providing a warm welcome upon arrival
Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
Maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area, ensuring a skilled appearance at all times
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to coordinate seating and service flow
Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or special accommodations
Monitor guest wait times and provide accurate wait estimates to enhance guest satisfaction
Support food handling and meal preparation tasks as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Experience
Prior food service experience is preferred, especially in restaurant or hospitality settings
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Experience with serving, food preparation, cashiering, or barista duties is advantageous
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper cleaning procedures
Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
Previous hotel experience or experience working in a hospitality workplace is beneficial
