We are seeking a energetic and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant for our office (not a remote position). Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at the front desk
Manage multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments, and confirming patient visits
Maintain accurate electronic medical records using Plexia & supporting the physician by ensuring charts are complete and appointments are confirmed
Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing office correspondence
Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date
Schedule office and endoscopy appointments in a timely manner
Support clinical staff by coordinating patient flow and managing appointment schedules
Work collaboratively with other medical offices for any schedule changes and communication
Skills
Has at least 2 years of prior experience as a medical office assistant
Certified MOA diploma is required
Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare providers and patients
Experience with Plexia EMR
Excellent office experience with proficiency in multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
Ability to handle administrative responsibilities with attention to detail and confidentiality
Effective communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, staff, and insurance providers
Must be able to work independently and prioritize urgent tasks
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism
Experience in a specialist or multidisciplinary clinic is an asset
