Construction Carpenter Apprentice (2nd–4th Year)

At Whitson Construction, you won’t just assist—you’ll gain hands-on experience across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure builds. From plant sites to underground utilities, you’ll develop into a well-rounded carpenter with robust concrete and civil experience.

Project Types:
Industrial plant sites & facilities
Wastewater treatment plants & lift stations
Underground utilities & civil infrastructure
Commercial and light industrial builds

Duties:
Concrete & Formwork
Assist with formwork, rebar placement, and concrete work
Support placing, finishing, and stripping

Carpentry & Site Work:
Measure, cut, and assemble materials
Assist with structural and temporary builds
Read drawings (with support as you grow)

General:
Operate tools and maintain equipment
Support crews and keep sites organized
Work in varied environments (including confined spaces)

What you Bring:
2+ years construction experience
Registered Carpenter Apprentice (2nd–4th year)
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn




Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol testing (including THC)
Training:
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015
Nice to Have: Confined Space, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, EWP, equipment experience
