Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our team and drive the development of cutting-edge electrical systems and solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing electrical components and systems, ensuring they meet rigorous performance standards. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys balancing design and analysis with hands-on work, including prototype development, material sourcing, fabrication support, and final product testing to bring cutting-edge concepts through to successful implementation.

Duties

- Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and layouts using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Conduct debugging, testing, and validation of electrical hardware and firmware to ensure reliability and performance standards are met.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical components with mechanical systems using Revit or CAD tools like SolidWorks.
- Apply mechanical knowledge where necessary to enhance system durability and thermal management strategies.
- Participate in system design reviews, technical documentation creation, and cross-disciplinary project meetings to ensure seamless integration of electrical solutions.
- Perform hands-on assembly, prototyping,



and modification of electrical and electromechanical systems using a variety of tools, test equipment, and fabrication methods.
- Operate and utilize engineering tools, measurement instruments, and workshop equipment to support the development, testing, and refinement of new products and projects.
- Source electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and materials, working with suppliers to ensure cost-effective, high-quality solutions that meet project requirements.
- Build, evaluate, and test prototypes throughout the development cycle, documenting findings and implementing design improvements as needed.
- Conduct final-stage system testing, performance validation, and commissioning activities to ensure projects meet design specifications, safety standards, and customer expectations.
- Support product development from concept through production, taking an active role in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience

- Proven experience in electrical engineering with a strong background in circuit design, system integration, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of signal processing techniques applied within embedded systems or communication devices.
- Experience with CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation or SolidWorks for creating detailed schematics and mechanical-electrical integration drawings.
- Practical understanding of firmware development using C++,



Python, Perl or scripting languages for automation or embedded applications.
- Mechanical knowledge related to thermal management or structural considerations in electronic device design is a plus.
- Experience working with manufacturing processes including PCB layout design, debugging hardware issues, and quality assurance protocols.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across engineering disciplines while maintaining attention to detail in all project phases.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with electrical assembly, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical or electromechanical systems.
- Comfortable working in a workshop, laboratory, or manufacturing environment and operating common engineering tools, power tools, and test equipment.
- Experience sourcing components, materials, and equipment from vendors and suppliers while considering cost, availability, quality, and lead times.
- Proven ability to build and test prototypes, perform root cause analysis, and drive design improvements based on test results.
- Experience conducting final system validation, commissioning, and acceptance testing to ensure performance, functionality, and reliability requirements are achieved.
