Duties
- Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care delivery
- Coordinate clinical activities across departments, including acute care, dementia care, senior care, and assisted living environments
- Oversee medication administration, medication reconciliation, and phlebotomy procedures following safety protocols and medical terminology standards
- Conduct staff training sessions on topics like pain management, medical procedures, and patient safety protocols
- Monitor patient progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans
- Ensure adherence to infection control standards and maintain accurate clinical records for audits and quality assurance
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license with current state licensure required; supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Proven experience in hospital settings or long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities
- Solid background in acute care, dementia care, senior care, and home health environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, pain management strategies, and case management principles
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care
- Excellent communication skills with experience working with diverse populations including children and elderly patients
