The Serpent River First Nation Limited Partnership is currently seeking two (2) reliable and energetic individuals to join our team on a temporary, month-to-month basis, with the opportunity to join the team Full time.

DUTIES:

- Report directly to the General Manager and Executive Assistant.
- Execute all assigned work order requests. Conduct general cleaning and upkeep across all facilities, including the office complex.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, polishing, vacuuming, emptying waste/recycling, and all cleaning tasks for offices, halls, board rooms, and restrooms. Duties also include washing walls, windows, and window treatments.
- Operate grounds-keeping equipment and maintain external property. Maintain outside grounds, including snow removal (shoveling, sanding, and operating a snow blower), weed control (spraying and removal), sweeping and cleaning gutters, and watering/general plant maintenance.
- Maintain professional communication and provide excellent customer service to all property tenants.
- Conduct regular property inspections of units, common areas, building exteriors, and landscaping.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to execute necessary maintenance and service.
- Perform minor repairs on fixtures such as windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, sinks, toilets, and blinds. Replace or repair parts, test components, and perform necessary adjustments.
- Execute a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry tasks. Prepare, paint,



and decorate interior and exterior surfaces as needed. Utilize a range of hand and power tools, as well as material handling equipment, in the execution of duties.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Able to take and follow directions.
- Valid (G) Ontario Driver’s Licence.
- Being able to work overtime or weekends in emergency situations
- Ability to multitask, ability to make decisions and or problem solve, work in a team setting and a fast paced environment.
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lb and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- CPIC clear of fraud/theft.

BENEFITS:

- Pay $20-$23/hour based on experience
- 35-hour work weeks
- Sick Days at 1.25 per month
- Two (2) Weeks of Paid Vacation per Year and additional Two (2) Weeks at Christmas
