Maintenance Technician

Job Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 1-month with extension

Pay Rate: up to $30/hr (DOE)

Your New Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring residents enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment; you will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests, completing repairs, supporting suite turnovers, and maintaining common areas and building systems.

What You Need to Do

- Respond to resident maintenance requests and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and cabinetry issues.
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems, common areas, and amenities, identifying and addressing deficiencies.
- Complete suite turnovers to high-quality standards, including repairs, fixture replacements, coordination of cleaning, and final inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, work orders, and outstanding repairs.




- Coordinate and oversee third-party contractors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
- Support compliance with RentSafe requirements, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

- Hands-on experience performing residential or commercial building maintenance and repairs.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general renovations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
- Availability to work onsite and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Experience using maintenance management systems, resident communication platforms, or customer databases is considered an asset.
- College diploma, apprenticeship training, or a related trades certification would be advantageous.
