The role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, auxiliary systems, and building facilities. You will help minimize downtime while supporting safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
Shift: Monday to Friday, Day shift
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to the established schedule
- Record work orders, labour, and parts used accurately in IQMS
- Coordinate and perform building and facility repairs
- Follow safety procedures, including lockout requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards
- Provide technical guidance and training to employees as required
- Support continuous improvement projects and process improvements
- Purchase equipment, services, and maintenance supplies as needed
What you’ll bring
- At least five years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read hydraulic and electrical blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication, teamwork, and computer skills
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing practices
- Millwright Red Seal certification is an asset; apprentices may also be considered
