Peeters Mushroom Farm is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team!
SUMMARY The primary responsibility of the Maintenance technician is to ensure the building, equipment, vehicles, machinery and any other farm implements are maintained and in good working order.
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to)
- Responding and repairing emergency maintenance requests as required.
- Performing minor and major repairs of all building equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a regular schedule basis.
- Completing daily, weekly, and monthly checklists and maintaining records.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to speak and read basic English is required.
- Mechanical experience of 1-3 years.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Able to lift and carry up to approximately 20 lbs.
- CSA Steel Toe Shoes required.
- Overtime as required.
- Working in a warehouse facility, a refrigerated packing facility and a refrigerated warehouse facility.
- Exposure to facilities requiring CSA steel toed safety footwear and hairnets.
- Interacts effectively with all levels of staff and management.
- Travel will be required from time to time.
- Willing to work a flexible work schedule.
