Vista Geomatics Ltd is a mid-sized, multi-disciplined, and well-established land survey company based in Calgary, AB.

It is our aim to provide outstanding survey services to both Oil & Gas and Municipal / Construction customers with personalized, quality service performed safely, effectively, and efficiently. We take pride in our roots, our employees, and our extensive safety program.

We are currently seeking a Grader / Junior Party Chief to join our Municipal Division working in Calgary and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
Check residential lot grading elevations and drainage
Perform grading and construction-related survey work
Work independently with minimal supervision
Communicate professionally with client representatives, site supervisors, and project managers
Complete field notes and documentation accurately
Organize and maintain survey equipment
Work safely and actively participate in Vista Geomatics’ HSE program
Travel between job sites using personal vehicle

Requirements:
Valuable written and verbal communication skills, and general computer knowledge
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
Comfortable communicating with client representatives on site
Reliable personal vehicle required for work purposes




Valid Alberta driver’s license
Physically fit and willing to work in wide-ranging environmental conditions
Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to a wide variety of tasks and functions
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test prior to starting
Ability to learn new processes and procedures easily

Assets:
Diploma in Geomatics and/or Survey Technician, or equivalent
Relevant grading, construction, or survey experience
Certification in First Aid/CPR, CSTS, and WHMIS
Experience working in residential construction environments
