We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our clients warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts, including reach truck and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and facilitate warehouse distribution.
Duties
Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers to move materials throughout the warehouse
Load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, or storage areas with precision
Perform order picking using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment to ensure safety and functionality
Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and updating records in the warehouse management system
Use basic math skills to verify quantities and measurements during operations
Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and workflow
Follow safety protocols at all times, including heavy lifting procedures and equipment handling
Skills
Proven experience in warehouse distribution and material handling
Proficiency in operating various forklift types, including clamp trucks and order pickers
Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
Familiarity with warehouse management systems for order processing and inventory control
Solid understanding of order picking procedures and inventory accuracy
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Basic math skills for measurements, quantities, and record keeping
Excellent attention to safety standards and protocols in a quick-paced workplace
