Job Summary

Dog Walk Happy is looking for experienced dog whisperers who can demonstrate confidence and skill working with off leash dogs on pack walks.

Requirements for the Job

Our Pack Leaders:
MUST have previous dog handling experience where you demonstrated leadership and confidence in working with dogs (Includes: grooming, kennels, veterinary, walking or training);
must have a cool, calm and authoritative approach to dogs;
must be comfortable and confident with big dogs, some with minor behavioural issues;
must be comfortable with all kinds of weather – we take the dogs out rain or shine, hot or cold;
must be in valuable physical condition and able to walk for extended period of time, as well as to lift dogs into and out of your vehicle if necessary;
must be willing to be a private contractor and not an employee;
must have a valid drivers license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record;
must be able to provide a vehicle for transporting dogs -- SUV or van;
must be willing to provide a police record check;
must be living in or near the Whitby/Oshawa area;
must be able to work between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday;
must be a team player,



able to work with the other pack leaders to ensure the safety of all the dogs;
must be comfortable, friendly, and confident in interactions with our clients;
must be bondable, responsible and dedicated, and able to problem solve independently and with a team
must have a smart phone with photo and internet capabilities.

There is the potential for additional income if you are willing to do boarding in your home for $45.00 per night, or if you will do walks on the weekends

There is a Probationary period and paid training
