Job Description

We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, part time coding teachers who want to share their love of coding and team spirit with kids and youth. We teach computer coding and robotics classes to ages 8 and above and provide professional training for youth to participate in high levels of robotics programming competitions in national and international levels. (e.g. First Lego Leagues, World Robotics Olympiad, University of Waterloo Canadian Computing Competition, CoderZ League etc.)

If you have professional experience in programming and have working with children in schools, camps or after-school programs, with a background in Computer Science, we would love to work with you.

You need to be very comfortable with coding and have the desire and ability to learn quickly.

Familiarity with any of the following:
LEGO EV3, WeDo, Spike Essential, Spike Prime
Scratch
Python
3D Printing
JavaScript
Electronics Design
PyGame
Web and Mobile App Development

Teaching Style Requirements:
Passionate,



interactive teaching using audio and video conferencing tools – Google Classroom /Zoom Meeting
Hands-on demonstration of projects and exercises
Teaching with inspiration and empowering students

Qualifications:
At least one year of teaching coding experience
Effective class management skills in leading classes of high energy students
Confident, energetic, creative and able to connect with young kids
Able to work independently and communicate via email and phone regularly
Access to reliable high-speed Internet with system supporting video conferencing

Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
