Functions: The full time position requires you to work in a team setting on small and large commercial glazing projects. You may be involved in; interior walls & partitions, curtain wall, aluminum storefronts, commercial windows & sealed units, mirrors and service calls.

Hours: Typically: Monday to Friday – 7:30 – 4:00 / 40 hours week

Occasionally: Require flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required. Overtime paid at time and a half.

Assist in the following Duties:
Install glass into frames;
Assemble glass / glass products on walls, ceilings etc.;
Install and attach architectural metal products into commercial buildings;
Install skylights and/or other special glass in commercial buildings;
Repair / Service aluminum doors and /or other glass structures;
Replace damaged glass or re-install sealants;
Work with Manlifts, Swing Stages, Ladders and Scaffold; and
Work with Project Managers to coordinate workflow, manpower & material.

Qualifications:




Willing to enroll in the 4 year Glazing Apprenticeship program;
Familiarity with the use of hand and/or power tools;
Must have hand tools;
Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time;
Reliability and punctuality;
Great attitude and the ability to work with others;
Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license; a driver’s abstract will be required;
Physically fit and able to perform within various working conditions and weather;
Fluent reading, writing and ability to communicate in English;
Legally able to work in Canada without a Visa; and
Ability to participate in Police background checks.
