Core Technician – Mining Exploration

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Core Technician to support daily drilling and geological operations for a mineral exploration program with Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. The Core Technician is responsible for handling, processing, organizing, and documenting drill core samples while maintaining a safe and efficient work setting.

Key Responsibilities
Receive, transport, and organize drill core from active drill sites
Measure, mark, photograph, and label drill core according to company procedures
Assist geologists with core cutting, sampling, and packaging
Maintain accurate sample records, core boxes, and inventory tracking
Prepare samples for shipment to analytical laboratories
Conduct routine equipment maintenance and ensure work areas remain clean and secure
Assist with drill site logistics, camp support, and field activities as required
Follow all health, safety, environmental,



and company protocols

Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in mineral exploration, drilling, construction, or field operations is considered an asset
Ability to perform physically demanding work
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working long rotations and flexible schedules
Ability to lift heavy materials and work safely around equipment
Valid driver’s license preferred
First Aid, WHMIS, or other safety certifications are considered assets

Work Environment
Rotational schedules may apply
Work may involve extended periods outdoors and manual labor

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
