Summary
We are seeking a Registered Early Childhood Teacher or equivalent to join our team at Omemee Children's Centre. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating engaging learning experiences for young children, promoting their development and well-being in a supportive workplace. We are hiring for a Kindergarten or School Age, full-time, split position. The starting wage for a RECE is $27.17.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote learning and development.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom workplace that encourages cooperation and respect.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to support children's growth.
Assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience.
Maintain a secure and organized classroom environment.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators or is pursuing their ECE diploma or has an alternative childcare designation that is eligible for Director's Approval (Child and Youth, Recreation and Leisure)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire young learners.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience working with children, particularly in early childhood settings.
Organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
Possession of a recent satisfactory police check with vulnerable sector screening conducted within the last 6 months.
Standard First Aid and CPR Level C.
Up to date immunization records.
