:

Position: Java full stack developer

Having experience with government clients is a huge plus

Location : Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable full stack applications with a focus on performance, security, and AODA compliance.
Translate system specifications into fully functional, tested code.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate them with contemporary front-end frameworks.
Develop and maintain relational database schemas (Oracle preferred) and optimize SQL scripts.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across settings.
Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Ensure CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes are optimized and reliable.
Provide system and user documentation, post-implementation support, and maintenance as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

Programming & Development – 65% Weighting




10+ years of full stack development experience with solid skills in:
Java, J2EE, JSF
HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL
Oracle SQL and database development
Experience with open-source frameworks/tools:
Spring, MyBatis, Bootstrap, jQuery
Proven hands-on experience in:
n-tier web-based applications
Web services and REST APIs
Responsive front-end development
AODA-compliant UI implementation
Jasper Reports or equivalent reporting tools
Experience in SDLC methodologies including Agile and Iterative

Analytical & Problem-Solving – 30% Weighting
Strong analytical skills to assess system requirements and recommend effective solutions
Ability to diagnose, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
Team-oriented mindset with proven ability to meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills

Public Sector Experience – 5% Weighting

Experience with Ontario Public Service (OPS) or broader Public Sector standards (e.g., GO–ITS, TRA, PIA) is considered a strong asset
