Strathcona Excavating Inc. is a skilled contractor that specializes in the repair and installation of water and wastewater infrastructure.

We are hiring for the following positions:

Backhoe Operator
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Backhoe Operator
Experience must include working on residential underground utility projects
Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to help in other areas when not operating equipment.
Ability to operate equipment in a secure manner.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
Read and interpret ground markings and locate tickets.
Dig trenches to proper grade and depth.
Experience working with shoring.
Ability to load and secure equipment for transport to and from site.

Labourers
Experience in the construction industry preferred
Must be physically fit

Required for all positions




Preference given to those with residential water and sewer experience.
Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be physically fit.
Safety certifications pertaining to position, or the ability to obtain such.

Additional Requirements
CSA approved steel toed boots.
These positions often require overtime.
Successful completion of Company Orientation and required courses
Positions noted may require additional responsibilities not listed above.

Job Types: Full time, Seasonal

Pay: $22.00-$40.00 per hour
