We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide out-of-home care for individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will support individuals in their daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being in a residential setting. Duties
Assist people with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores
Support individuals in developing life skills to promote independence and community participation
Administer medications accurately according to prescribed instructions
Implement individualized care plans tailored to each persons needs
Communicate effectively with those supported, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
Monitor peoples health and safety, recognizing and responding to any emergencies or behavioral concerns
Document care activities and progress notes accurately and timely
Foster a positive, respectful environment that encourages individuals’ growth and self-esteem
Experience
Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in caregiving roles is highly preferred
Experience with medication administration is desirable
Robust communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
Compassionate attitude and patience are critical qualities for success in this role
