We are currently looking for a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) for a long-term care home in Brantford, Ontario. Working under the indirect supervision of the Physiotherapist, our assistants will work in close contact with residents to help them implement treatment programs and achieve their goals.
Assist the supervising physiotherapist in performing various components of the treatment plans for individuals in long term care communities
Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist, including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening and application of modalities. (i.e., heat, ice, ultrasound)




Deliver protected and therapeutically beneficial exercise classes for groups of residents
Set up and prepare equipment and clean up after residents' treatments
Maintain regular ongoing communication with the physiotherapist regarding any changes or concerns about a resident's status or treatment interventions
Record daily treatments in a skilled way

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:
Brantford, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
