We are seeking a skilled, alert, and community-minded Tactical Security Guard to provide safety and security services at a social service centre. The Centre offers temporary shelter and support services to vulnerable individuals.

This is a temporary assignment requiring robust conflict management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work in high-stress environments while maintaining compassion and professionalism.

Position type: Temporary Full-time (ongoing untl further notice)

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday: 00:00 - 08:00

Responsibilities for a Tactical Security Guard in Barrie
Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and volunteers
Monitor entry and exit points; conduct bag checks if required
Enforce site policies and safety protocols respectfully and consistently
De-escalate conflicts
Respond to disturbances, medical emergencies, or safety concerns




Conduct regular patrols (interior and exterior)
Document incidents and complete detailed reports
Liaise with emergency services (Police, Fire, EMS) when necessary
Support a respectful and welcoming environment for individuals experiencing homelessness or crisis

Qualifications for a Tactical Security Guard in Barrie
Valid Security Guard License (required)
First Aid & CPR certification (required)
Experience in high-risk, shelter, healthcare, or community environments preferred
Strong de-escalation and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in volatile situations
Clear criminal background check
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
