Overview
A garage labourer assists mechanics with vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair by performing tasks such as cleaning the shop, moving materials, lubricating vehicles, changing tires and batteries, and performing basic repairs under supervision. Duties also include operating machinery, conducting inspections, and ensuring the workplace and tools are clean and well-maintained.

Duties
Seasonal Tire Handling: Loads, unloads, and transports tires and rims, tools, and equipment within the garage and between the offsite tire storage facilities and the shop.
Maintain Records and Organization of Tire Storage Locations: Keeps accurate records of tire locations and the storage areas neat and tidy.
Shop Maintenance: Cleans and maintains the workshop, ensuring it's organized and protected.
Support for Mechanics: Assists mechanics with various repair and maintenance tasks, following instructions and procedures.
Waste Disposal: Handles and disposes of waste materials and old parts.




Tool & Equipment Care: Maintains and cleans tools and equipment to ensure they are in positive working order.
Safety Compliance: Adheres to Occupational Health and Safety practices and reports safety issues.
