Sidewinder / Stone Slinger Driver (Class 3)

Marmot Construction Ltd. is seeking a Full-Time Seasonal Class 3 Sidewinder / Stone Slinger Driver to place Gravel in residential communities, areas of new construction, and commercial districts.

Candidates will require proficiency within the following skills:

· Class 3 Driver’s Licence and Clean Abstract

· Minimum 3 years of Class 3 driving experience

· Managing safe conveyor operations in high-traffic residential and business districts

· High level of situational awareness, anticipating pedestrian and worker movements, to avoid any incidents

· High level of situational awareness, avoiding contact with property

· Adhering to all Commercial Vehicle Operating Requirements and National Safety Code

· Completing Pre-Trip Inspections, Hours of Service, and other Related Paperwork





· Providing crew leadership for in office operations, hazards assessments, toolbox talks, etc.

· Experience operating hoppers, conveyors or slingers (considered an asset)

Compensation:

· Starting Wage is $32.00 - $34.00 per hour, corresponding with experience

· Substantial opportunities available for overtime at 1.5 x Hourly Rate; overtime pay is calculated on hours in excess of 40 hours worked weekly
