Duties
Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Transport freight across various locations, ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle logs
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
Follow company policies for safety procedures and cargo securement

Requirements




Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Experience in commercial driving, particularly long-haul routes preferred
Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance records
Physical ability to load/unload freight and operate heavy equipment as required
Must pass background checks and drug screening prior to employment
