Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized station environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a quick-paced retail setting. Bilingual abilities and experience with retail sales or POS systems are a plus, enabling us to serve a diverse customer base effectively.

Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling, purchases, and inquiries
Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and sales transactions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and convenience store
Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions or specials to enhance sales
Manage inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies
Assist in product demos or merchandising efforts to improve store presentation
Process payments efficiently using cash, credit/debit cards, or mobile payment options




Maintain accurate records of sales and transactions throughout each shift

Skills
Strong customer service and communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing registers
Experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales preferred
Knowledge of merchandising techniques to enhance product displays
Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining professionalism
Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle busy periods efficiently
Phone etiquette for addressing customer inquiries over the phone when necessary
Ability to work well under pressure in a quick-paced workplace
Multilingual skills can help serve a diverse clientele more effectively
Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain cleanliness
