Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our energetic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse distribution activities, operating equipment, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. This role operates within a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Operative will play a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, packaging, and restocking
Responsibilities
Operate forklift, and other machinery safely and efficiently
Assist with order picking, packing, and order fulfillment processes to ensure accurate and timely shipments
Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols
Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
Assist in warehouse organization, including stacking, storage, and maintaining a clean work setting
Including some heavy lifting and material handling
Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow efficiency
Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse distribution
Hands-on experience operating forklifts, is an asset but not necessary
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and order picking processes
Experience with order packaging, and load & unload operations
Solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Relevant certifications for forklift operation are preferred but not mandatory
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
