Vintage Iron Cycles Victoria is hiring. We are a growing e-bike and electric mobility shop focused on quality work, practical solutions, and honest service. We are currently looking to fill two positions.
Position 1: Shop Manager (Full-Time)
Duties:
Oversee daily shop operations and workflow
Help keep staff organized, productive, and on task
Coordinate repairs and ensure jobs move efficiently through the shop
Order parts and maintain inventory levels
Track incoming parts and ensure they are assigned to the correct repair orders
Communicate with customers regarding repair timelines, parts availability, and service updates
Assist with scheduling and general shop administration
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous management or supervisory experience
Previous bicycle mechanic experience is a significant asset
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with inventory management and parts ordering
Friendly, skilled, and customer-focused
Position 2:
Bike Technician (Part-Time/Full time)
Duties:
Service, repair, and maintain bicycles and e-bikes
Perform tune-ups, overhauls, brake and drivetrain work
Assemble current bikes and complete safety inspections
Communicate clearly with customers about repairs
Keep tools and work areas clean and organized
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a bike mechanic (applicants with prior bike technician experience will be prioritized)
Strong understanding of modern bicycle components
Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
