The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established, privately held B2B SaaS company based in Vancouver, BC, with a growing customer base beyond North America. Backed by a diversified parent organization, the company is entering an exciting current growth chapter under newly appointed sales and marketing leadership — and is looking for a Marketing Manager who wants to build and run programs, not just plan them.
This is a rare kind of marketing role: it comes with real ownership of execution, a dedicated internal team to direct, and a leadership team that has deliberately chosen to keep strategy for itself so this person can focus entirely on getting things done. If you're the person your last company called when an event needed to happen, a webinar needed to launch, or a dashboard needed to actually be accurate — this is built for you.
What You'll Do
- Own event & webinar operations end to end — planning, organizing, promoting, and hosting webinars and events (virtual and in-person) that build pipeline. This is the core of the role and where you'll spend the majority of your time.
- Partner with the organization's broader in-house marketing team — who run social, digital, design, and web — briefing them clearly and keeping their output aligned to your campaign and event calendar.
- Translate product strategy and roadmap into marketing-ready input, working closely with product leadership so the wider team always has accurate, timely material to build campaigns around.
- Own the marketing funnel end to end — from top-of-funnel awareness through to qualified handoff to sales — not just brand and top-of-funnel activity.
- Keep marketing reporting and dashboards current and trustworthy, so leadership always has an accurate, real-time read on pipeline contribution and campaign performance.
- Orchestrate a small internal marketing pod — a product marketing resource, a marketing coordinator, and a marketing ops/technical resource — plus the extended in-house creative team, assigning work and keeping everyone aligned to deadlines.
- Execute, execute, execute. This role reports to a Director of Sales & Marketing who owns strategy and vision — your job is to be the hands-on operator who makes it real, reliably and on time.
What You Bring
- 5–10 years of progressive marketing experience within the SaaS / software sales industry, ideally B2B.
- Proven, hands-on experience planning and running webinars and events end to end, from concept through post-event reporting.
- Comfort partnering with (rather than directing) an internal or agency creative/digital team to get campaigns built and launched.
- Solid working knowledge of funnel mechanics and demand generation, beyond brand and awareness marketing.
- Experience owning marketing dashboards and reporting (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce,
Google Analytics, or similar tools) and communicating performance clearly to leadership.
- Ability to translate technical or product information into marketing messaging — you're comfortable working directly with product teams.
- An execution-first mindset: you're energized by getting things done, not by setting direction or pushing back on strategy set above you.
- Strong organizational and project-management instincts, with the ability to keep a small, cross-functional team on schedule.
Nice to Have
- Experience marketing software or technology into relationship-driven, professional-services-oriented B2B markets.
- Experience with webinar/event platforms (e.g., Zoom Webinars, ON24, Bizzabo, or similar) and marketing automation tools.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms as an end-user marketer.
Compensation & Location Base salary in the range of $90,000–$105,000 CAD, commensurate with experience, plus performance incentive. Based in Vancouver, BC, with a hybrid working arrangement.
