Brickworks Canada is looking for a reliable, hardworking Masonry Labourer to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of a crew and contribute to the team — not just show up for a paycheque. This role will mainly involve assisting our bricklayers and helping keep job sites running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist bricklayers with day-to-day masonry work
- Lift and move heavy materials including stone, block, brick, and other construction materials
- Prepare and organize materials for bricklayers
- Mix mortar and assist with general site preparation
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Assist with setup and cleanup on job sites
- Follow all site safety procedures
- Perform other general labour duties as required
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence
- Reliable vehicle is mandatory
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy materials throughout the day
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Strong work ethic
Assets / Nice to Have
- Previous masonry or construction experience
- Forklift operator certification
- Experience operating a quick-cut saw
- Familiarity with masonry tools and materials
Schedule
Monday to Friday
Hours may vary depending on the job site and project requirements.
Pay
Pay is based on experience.
More experienced candidates with masonry knowledge, equipment certifications, or relevant construction experience may qualify for a higher starting wage.
