Phase2Design Inc. is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Materials & FF&E; Specialist to join our team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to take an approved 3D design and translate it into complete material, finish and fixture specifications for client approval and working-drawing coordination.

Responsibilities

- Source and specify flooring, tile, stone, paint, wall finishes, millwork finishes, hardware and other interior materials.
- Source and specify decorative lighting and plumbing fixtures.
- Contact suppliers for samples, pricing, availability, lead times and quotations.
- Prepare detailed Materials & Finishes Schedules, including manufacturer, colour, finish, size, SKU/model number and supplier.
- Prepare client material presentations and finish boards.
- Coordinate material-selection meetings and track client approvals and revisions.
- Order, label and organize project samples.
- Maintain Phase2Design's physical and digital materials library.
- Prepare final specification packages and coordinate approved selections with our Architectural Technologists for working drawings.
- Review specifications, approved 3D designs and drawings for discrepancies.

Qualifications




- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Decorating, Architectural Technology or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in interior design, FF&E;, materials or specifications preferred.
- Robust knowledge of interior materials, finishes, lighting and plumbing fixtures.
- Ability to read interior drawings and understand design documentation.
- Excellent organization, communication and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with GTA suppliers and showrooms is an asset.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Must have a valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to supplier showrooms, material sourcing and project-related appointments throughout the GTA.

We are looking for someone who is resourceful, highly organized and comfortable independently sourcing and specifying products across multiple projects.
