Job Summary

ÜNI Academy is looking for an exceptional tutor, university student or recent graduate in mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related field to work with middle school and high school students at our Toronto location at 864 Eglinton Avenue East across from Laird station of Eglinton line.

We are looking for someone with strong and deep subject knowledge who genuinely enjoys teaching and can explain why ideas work, not just how to apply them. Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills are essential.

Ideal candidates are upper-year undergraduate or graduate students who are patient, intellectually curious, and comfortable teaching senior math and physics.

All students, teaching space and facilities are provided. No travel or client recruitment is required.

Successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check before beginning employment.

Duties

- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in math and physics, tailored to each student’s learning style and needs using UNI Academy's program and guidelines.




- Develop customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student goals
- Assess students’ understanding through regular evaluations and adapt teaching strategies in collaboration with UNI Academy's ownership
- Support students with homework, test preparation, and project work to reinforce key concepts

- Strong and deep understanding of fundamentals of mathematics and classical physics with the ability to explain complex topics clearly with many examples.

- Organizational skills to manage multiple sessions and track student progress

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 – 10.0 per week
