Responsibilities

- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to established standards and customer preferences
- Ensure all meat products are handled safely, stored properly, and maintained at optimal freshness
- Package meat products efficiently while adhering to food safety regulations and proper labeling protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, tools, and equipment in compliance with health and safety guidelines
- Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about different cuts of meat, and provide exceptional service




- Follow all food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
- Support inventory management by rotating stock, recording product usage, and notifying supervisors of low supplies

Experience

- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat preparation, is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Hands-on experience with meat cutting tools such as knives, saws, and grinders
- Familiarity with packaging methods for perishable food items
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
