Description

Responsibilities

- Administer bedside and personal care
- Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- Launder clothing and household linens
- Mend clothing and linens
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Plan therapeutic diets and menus
- Provide companionship
- Provide personal care
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Cook

Requirements

- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Target audience: Elderly
- Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: CPR Certificate,



First Aid Certificate, Personal Support Worker Certificate
- Security clearance: Basic security clearance
- Work site setting: Non-smoking
- Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking; physically demanding; repetitive tasks; standing for extended periods
- Personal suitability: Punctuality; client focus; dependability; efficient interpersonal skills; excellent oral communication; flexibility; judgement; organized; reliability; patience; honesty
