We would offer a generator and a tidy tank. Inland Lake is open from May 1 until September 15 so ideally the caretaker would be available during this time, but we are flexible with dates. If you love to live and work outdoors and do not mind this type of experience this may be the perfect summer job for you!PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE:Positive and friendly attitude and ability to be diplomatic.Work both independently and as part of a team with professional communication skills.Be dependable and trustworthy.Ability and willingness to perform physical active work for up to 8 hours and be able to lift 50 lbs. safely.Have practical experience in manual labor such as groundskeeping, gardening, farming, or related work.Aptitude to work with tools, learn new skills and understand product use safety procedures.Enthusiastic about outdoor recreation and parks.Cash handling skills and ability to reconcile end of shift cash out report.Ability to record pertinent information and fill in reports.QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION:Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Driver’s Abstract required up hiring)Current First Aid Certification (OFA)

Water is limited to well water available to the campers in the park.List of DutiesRESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Park Manager at Saltery Bay, the Caretaker living at Inland Lake would be working as a Park Attendant and be responsible for ensuring park safety and cleanliness while welcoming visitors.Hours worked could be flexible and based on daily operations and flows.Caretaker for Inland Lake and area.Ability to be flexible in work hours and trustworthy as the presence in the park.Maintenance duties include: cleaning outhouses, campsites, public areas, garbage, vegetation management, painting, general repairs and maintenanceOther responsibilities include: registering campers, selling firewood, ensuring campers and visitors have a protected and pleasant visit to the park, learning and following RLC and BC Park rules and regulations and ensure we educate where necessary.Working as a team member under the Park Manager and Operations Manager to ensure park standards are followed with a professional attitude, representing the company and the RLC brand under the BC Parks standards.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Seasonal employment May 1 until September 15.
