Reports to Finance Manager and Director of Finance.Job Overview:The Intermediate Accountant is responsible for preparing financial statements, account reconciliations/accruals and auditing functions in accordance with standard policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze periodic departmental income statements against budgets and review variances with department managersAssist with period, quarter, semi‑annual and annual closings and assist with departmental yearly budgets, coordinating with other departmentsGenerate internal reports for departments and periodic reports for external partiesManage capital assets, amortizations, credit card expense accruals and general ledger reconciliationsManage sales channels reporting platforms and update and maintain relevant spreadsheets and databasesParticipate in the automation of key processes, including revenue recognition, bank reconciliations, accounts payable function and accounts receivable functionLead initiatives to streamline period‑end close with the Senior Accountant by proposing ways to automate within the system and streamline preparation of journal entries and recognize redundant proceduresAudit and review invoices, expenses, cash, promotions and incentivesQualificationsBA in Business Administration with a major in accounting,
