In this position, you will carry out essential repair and maintenance of UBC's fleet, which includes electric vehicles and construction equipment. The job demands strong skills in mechanical repair and electrical systems, focusing on sustainability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair a variety of campus vehicles
Execute engine and transmission overhauls as needed
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively




Train apprentices and monitor their work quality
Ensure compliance with vehicle inspection program requirements

Requirements:
Journeyperson certification in Heavy Duty or Automotive Mechanics
Valid BC Drivers license with a clean record
Minimum of five years related experience
Robust ability to communicate effectively and courteously
Willingness to learn about diverse perspectives and practices
