We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance. The Automotive Mechanic will work with various tools and equipment, including hand tools and power tools, to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble parts and conduct repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed on each vehicle.
- Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair options, and service recommendations.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols.
- Assist in heavy lifting when necessary to move parts or equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus but not mandatory.
- A valid driver's license
