Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Mechanical Assembler to join our production team at our facility in South Surrey, BC.

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for mechanically assembling electrical enclosures, switchboards, cabinets, internal components, supports, and related hardware according to drawings and work instructions.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position suited to someone who enjoys building equipment, working with tools, and producing high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities

Read and follow mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, specifications, and work orders

Assemble electrical enclosures, cabinets, frames, doors, panels, and internal components

Install mounting hardware, brackets, supports, insulators, bus supports, barriers, and related components

Mount breakers, switches, controls, meters, and other electrical components according to drawings

Perform drilling, fastening, measuring, fitting, and general mechanical assembly

Ensure components are properly aligned, secured, and installed to specification

Identify assembly issues and communicate discrepancies to supervisors or engineering

Perform basic quality checks during assembly

Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards

Maintain a clean,



organized, and safe work area

Assist with other production duties as required

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong mechanical aptitude

Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, construction, or a similar hands-on environment preferred

Comfortable using hand tools, drills, impact drivers, measuring tools, and other basic shop equipment

Ability to read basic technical drawings and measurements

Strong work ethic and reliability

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn current manufacturing processes and products

Experience assembling electrical equipment, switchgear, switchboards, control panels, or industrial equipment is considered an asset but is not required.

Compensation

$20.00–$25.00 per hour depending on experience
