Why join us?
This is an opportunity to become an important part of an established and growing specialty practice. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term position who takes pride in being organized, efficient, professional, and excellent with patients.
Dr. Riar Foot & Ankle Clinic is a well-established, growing podiatry practice with a strong patient base and a small, dedicated team. We're adding a second full-time MOA to support our front desk and clinical flow as the practice continues to expand — this is a genuine growth hire, not a temporary fill.
The role:
We're looking for an experienced Medical Office Assistant who can operate independently in a high-volume specialty clinic from day one. You'll work alongside our current MOA and clinical staff, handling reception, patient flow, instrument reprocessing, and supply management. Because our patient volume is high and our standards for patient experience are high, we need someone who has already done this job well elsewhere — this is not an entry-level or training position.
Duties:
- Greet and check in patients professionally, managing high-volume reception desk
- Book and coordinate patient appointments with efficiency and accuracy
- Manage room turnover, instrument reprocessing,
and supply restocking to clinical standards
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Accuro EMR
- Handle general administrative tasks — filing, faxing, scanning — without oversight
What we require:
- Minimum 5 years of medical office assistant experience, ideally including high-volume or specialty clinic settings
- Excellent professional English communication skills
- Current MOA Certificate
- Clear criminal record check for work with vulnerable populations
- Comfortable working independently in a quick-paced environment without close supervision
Nice to have:
- Accuro EMR experience
- Previous experience in a specialist office, family physician clinic, podiatry, dental or similar clinical setting
In your application, please tell us: how many years of MOA experience you have, and your comfort level (if any) with Accuro EMR. Applications without this information may not be reviewed. Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
