Medical Office Assistant (MOA) – Full-Time

Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Pay: $17.00–$20.00 per hour
About the Position
Belief Medical Clinic is seeking a reliable, organized, and professional Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our growing team.
The MOA plays an important role in the day-to-day operation of our clinic and serves as a key point of contact between patients, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
We are looking for someone who is positive, dependable, comfortable working in a busy medical environment, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and provide professional front-desk service
- Answer and manage incoming telephone calls
- Check patients in and out
- Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments
- Manage physician schedules and help maintain efficient patient flow
- Escort patients to examination rooms when required
- Prepare and set up examination rooms
- Measure and accurately record patient height, weight, and other basic information as required
- Prepare rooms and supplies for physical examinations, prenatal visits, Pap tests, and other procedures
- Process incoming and outgoing faxes, referrals, reports, and medical documents
- Communicate with pharmacies and other healthcare providers as directed
- Assist with prescription-related communications within the scope of the MOA role and clinic procedures
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic patient records
- Monitor medical and office supply inventory and restock examination rooms
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked patient and clinical areas
- Assist physicians and other clinic staff with administrative duties as required
- Follow up with patients regarding appointments, referrals, and other outstanding items as directed
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a medical clinic is strongly preferred
- Experience with Healthquest EMR is a strong asset
- Medical Office Assistant certificate/diploma is an asset
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a busy clinic
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional and respectful communication with patients, physicians, and coworkers
- Strong commitment to patient confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively under pressure

Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $17.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Expected hours: 30–40 hours per week.
