We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support within a busy multiple doctor Cardiology practice , ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Experience with medical office systems and a strong understanding of medical terminology are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner at the front desk
- Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and confirm patient visits
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Iclinic & Cerner
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying patient information
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Support clinical staff by coordinating patient flow and managing appointment schedules
- Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
- Perform general office duties to maintain an organized and efficient work environment
Experience
- Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant is highly preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is essential
- Proven experience in office administration, including handling multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor
Qualifications:
- Education: Medical Office Assistant diploma or certification preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, ideally cardiology, internal medicine or respirology
