As a Pharmacy Assistant at Central Production Pharmacy, you’ll play a key role in ensuring patients across Alberta receive safe, timely, and effective medication. Working under the supervision of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, you will assist with medication repackaging, distribution, delivery, and inventory management. Daily tasks include selecting and labeling medications, operating repackaging equipment, replenishing patient‑specific carts and ward stock, and performing ordering and receiving duties. You’ll use automated and computerized systems to support accuracy and efficiency. Strong verbal and written English communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality and teamwork are essential. You will also mentor and train other Pharmacy Assistants, new staff, and students. The ideal candidate demonstrates accuracy, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to succeed in a dynamic and continually evolving environment. You must be able to follow instructions, work independently and collaboratively, and adapt to changing workflows and technologies. Physical demands include visual acuity, keyboarding, heavy lifting and grip strength, twisting, crouching, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and extended periods of standing and walking.
