The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive day-to-day HR, payroll, employee services, and office operations support for Merz Aesthetics Canada. The role is responsible for the administration and execution of key HR processes, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, employee records management, compliance reporting, employee relations support, and workplace operations. Acting as a primary resource for employees and managers, the HR Generalist ensures accurate, compliant, and efficient delivery of HR services while fostering a positive employee experience and supporting business objectives. Role Overview & Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Support Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing guidance on policies, programs, perks, and HR processes. Maintain employee records and HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance. Prepare employment-related documentation, including offer letters, employment changes, salary adjustments, and employee correspondence. Administer employee benefits and support leave, vacation, and employee data management. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR procedures. Payroll & Employee Administration Process semi-monthly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely submission of employee data, salary changes, vacation records, deductions, and employment status updates. Maintain payroll and employee records, including new hire setup, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, and terminations.



Prepare and issue Records of Employment (ROEs) and support year-end payroll activities, including T4 administration and reconciliations. Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries and resolve issues as required. Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offer administration. Partner with hiring managers and the Sr. HR Manager to support recruitment and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. Manage onboarding activities, including orientation, system access, payroll and benefits enrollment, equipment coordination, and new hire integration. Coordinate employee offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and compliant transition. Employee Relations & HR Programs Provide guidance on routine employee relations matters and elevate complex issues to the Sr. HR Manager. Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, training coordination, performance management processes, and HR program implementation. Assist with workplace investigations, documentation, and employee relations activities as required. Office Operations, Reporting & Compliance Coordinate office operations, facilities support, vendor relationships, workplace safety requirements, and office supplies. Organize employee meetings, events, and workplace initiatives. Prepare HR and payroll reports, including headcount, turnover, recruitment, attendance, and compensation metrics. Support audits,



regulatory reporting, compliance reviews, and maintain HR policies, forms, and communications. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. CHRP designation or working toward designation preferred. Knowledge of Dayforce Powerpay or similar payroll system Knowledge of HRIS system 3-5 years of progressive HR experience. Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices. Strong organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities effectively.
