Title: Senior AccountantReports To: ControllerLocation: Burnaby, BCFinancial Ownership & Full-Cycle AccountingOwn full-cycle accounting for assigned branches, including:Review and oversight of accounts payable and receivable activityRevenue recognition, accruals, and judgment-based accounting entriesBank, inventory, and balance sheet reconciliationsMonth-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesEnsure accounting records are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies and accounting standards.Financial Reporting & AnalysisServe as the primary owner of branch-level P&L and balance sheet results.Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned locations.Lead variance analysis, identify trends and risks, and provide clear, actionable insights to operations and management.Partner with leadership to explain financial performance and support decision‐making.Sales Tax & ComplianceOversee preparation and filing of sales tax returns across multiple U.S. jurisdictions.Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on the business, recommending process or system updates as needed.Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, preparing schedules, documentation, and explanations.Inventory & Operational PartnershipOversee inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to resolution.Analyze shrink, margins, and inventory adjustments, identifying root causes and improvement opportunities.Partner closely with operations to strengthen controls, ensure data accuracy, and improve branch-level financial processes.Process Improvement & LeadershipIdentify, recommend,
