Position Overview The Breakdown Roller Operator at Skilled Excavators & Construction Inc. is responsible for operating breakdown rollers to compact and prepare road surfaces and other construction projects. This role is vital to ensuring high-quality outcomes in asphalt paving and other earthworks while adhering to safety standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Operate breakdown rollers to compact asphalt and other materials during road construction and paving activities.
Ensure that compaction procedures are followed correctly to achieve the desired material density and surface quality.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Monitor job site conditions and notify supervisors of any issues that may affect work progress or quality.
Collaborate with other team members to facilitate efficient workflow and communication on site.
Document daily activities, including compaction reports and equipment performance, to maintain accurate records.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating breakdown rollers or similar heavy equipment in a construction environment.
Eligible to work in Canada.
Solid understanding of compaction processes and road construction techniques is preferred.
Valid Class 3 Driver's License with a clean driving record is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications is preferred.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions is preferred.
